Coalinga
Operations
The Coalinga operations of Aera Energy
LLC cover approximately 15 square miles in Fresno County about 9
miles northwest of the City of Coalinga, just west of Interstate
5.
Aera's Coalinga unit produces approximately 7,200 barrels
of heavy crude oil per day. Crude oil is transported to Martinez,
Calif., where it is refined.
In the community, Aera is a longtime member of the Coalinga
Chamber of Commerce and serves as a sponsor of the annual Horned
Toad Derby celebration. In addition, Aera is the principal
sponsor of the Coalinga-Huron Library District’s Summer Reading
Program. Annually Aera offers two college scholarships to
graduating Coalinga High School seniors and participates in the
annual West Hills College Foundation benefit golf tournament. Aera and its predecessor companies have been producing
heavy crude oil in Coalinga since 1913.
